Arthritis Panel

An Arthritis Panel is a series of blood tests designed to help diagnose different types of arthritis and related conditions. The panel typically includes tests for rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), which help identify inflammation and autoimmune activity that can be associated with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It may also include C-reactive protein (CRP) testing, which measures levels of inflammation in the body. For those suspected of having other types of arthritis, like osteoarthritis, additional tests may be done to assess joint health and cartilage breakdown. The Arthritis Panel helps doctors diagnose the specific type of arthritis, guide treatment decisions, and monitor disease progression or response to therapy.
